BELAY CLASS
In this class you will learn the fundamentals to climb indoors: fitting the harness, knot tying and proper belay technique. This class (or previous experience and passing our belay test) is a prerequisite for top roping in our facility. The 2 hour class includes equipment and a one week trial membership. Ages 11 and up.
Offered Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6 – 8pm and Saturdays from 2 – 4pm

Lead Class 1
Class provides fundamental skills necessary for sport lead climbing including how to clip, rope management, and how to take a lead fall. Recommended that participants can proficiently climb 5.10a and are top rope belay certified. Lead Class 1 required before Lead Class 2. Ages 11 and up. 2 participant min.
Offered Mondays from 5 – 7pm
One 2 hour lesson

Lead Class 2
Class teaches skills necessary for sport lead belaying. Climbers will learn to manage different lead belaying scenarios and assess risk. Recommended that participants can proficiently climb 5.10a and are top rope belay certified. Lead Class 1 required before Lead Class 2. Ages 11 and up. 2 participant min.

LADIES’ NIGHT BELAY CLASS
In this class you will learn the fundamentals to climb indoors: fitting the harness, knot tying, and proper belay technique. This class (or previous experience and passing our belay test) is a prerequisite for top roping in our facility. The 2 hour class and week membership includes equipment. Package includes a one week trial membership to be used any week upon return. Women ages 11 and up.
Offered Mondays from 6 – 8pm

Private Lessons
Our experienced staff is happy to offer private lessons to any level of climber(s) looking for personalized and specific climbing instruction.* From technique, anchor building, multi-pitch, cross training, or route cleaning–we can tailor our instruction to your climbing needs and bring you to the next level.** This is also a great option for parents seeking one-on-one instruction for belaying and helping their kids climb.
We require private lesson registrations be made at least one week prior to the requested private lesson date.
– Limited to 2 participants per lesson.
– $60 per hour for 1 or 2 participants, e.g., 2 participants for 1 hour is $60.
*Lead climbing instruction is not available as a private lesson.
**Multi-pitch and route cleaning require lead climbing proficiency.

Parkinson’s Climbing Class
Up ENDing Parkinson’s has teamed up with Wild Walls to provide climbing instruction and support to people living with Parkinson’s Disease (PD).
Skilled volunteers will be on hand to belay while you learn to rock climb. You will have guidance to develop independence with indoor rock climbing, starting with learning the fundamentals of fitting a harness, knot tying and proper belaying techniques. As confidence and skill grows, our volunteers will teach advanced techniques and challenges on and off the wall. This 2-hour class is open and appropriate for people with PD of all ages and skill levels.
Offered Tuesdays from 12-2pm.

EWU Adaptive Climbing Course
This program is on pause for summer and will resume in September 2024.
The EWU Department of Physical Therapy (DPT) has teamed up with Wild Walls Climbing Gym to host an adaptive climbing program. Athletes of all ages with physical disabilities who are interested in rock climbing are encouraged to participate in this program. This program consists of once-a-week 90-minute appointments on Thursday afternoons between 2 – 6pm, over the course of 5 consecutive weeks.
Second year DPT students, supervised by a licensed physical therapist, will complete an evaluation, then will work with participants to determine the best adaptive equipment needed to facilitate rock climbing and will craft a unique exercise plan that will progress participant’s strength, flexibility, and technique weekly.
First group will meet: January 30th, February 6th, February 20th, February 27th, and March 6th
Second group will meet: March 20th, March 27th, April 3rd, April 10th, April 17th
